Hootsuite Review #2

Besides being a great organizational resource, Hootsuite is a social media management tool that at its core allows businesses to schedule updates to any of their social pages. If you’re posting the same thing across three profiles, you can post it once through Hootsuite and select the profiles where you want it published, and it will publish it at once. Along with this, monitor social posts, you can view the analytics of post, monitor and respond to consumers and even assign tasks/posts to your team.

The other perk to using Hootsuite is Hootsuite Academy. They offer a number of training courses and certification that allow digital marketers to level up their skillset and remain a competitive employee or hire. The courses are flexible and you can take them on your own schedule.

Although Hootsuite is largely known as a business tool, a lot of individuals use it for personal purposes too. Whether you are an individual or you are a small business with limited resources you can start off by registering for a free account, allowing you to discover its vast range of features and manage up to 3 social media profiles. You can integrate other apps you use like Blogger, Google My Business, Adobe Stock, Google Drive etc. You can also take advantages of the free training courses, Hootsuite Platform Training, and Social Marketing Training.

If you are a larger size company, with more money and time to put in you can register for a premium account, that range from $29 to  $599. This kind of account which you to manage more social profiles and gives you more tools to use such a content library, campaign planning, paid ROI report etc. You can also take advantage of training and certifying your team through Hootsuite Academy in courses such as social advertising and social media strategy.

Georgia State University uses Hootsuite to monitor students who post positives review and have created a collection of brand advocates that use to promote the school online. Using Hootsuite Amplify to make it easy for employees, students, and influencers to share on-brand content from their mobile devices. Once they have access to the app, advocates can select topics of interest to follow, such as politics, science, or the arts and share a post as they see fit.

Overall, Hootsuite is a really successful management tool and training resource. I think the only improvisions I suggest is an upgrade to the free plan. I understand the company must make money but I think the free account should come with a free trial for the tools featured in the premium account so you can see what you need as a business.  I also would like if Hootsuite sent you some sort of notification to your email when a post fails to publish, I'm not sure if this a personal problem but multiple times I wasn't made aware of the issue until I logged onto the platform. I have also found glitches in the Instagram monitoring function.
