I'm not big on reading blogs but I came across xoNecole on Instagram one day and I just fell in love.

xoNecole is a lifestyle blog focused on urban millennial women is run by blogger Necole Kane.
Kane wants to create a place where women could go to share their stories and feel inspired.

This blog is so impactful for me because it was not only created by a woman of color but also features content from female writers and artists of color. This is important because the content is relevant and I can't tell you how many times lifestyle blog posts have been useless to me. The most important categories I find trouble with but seek the most advice in are beauty and wellness, so this blog was like a dream come true.

xoNecole's blog features more than just beauty and wellness, some of the most popular posts fall under travel, career and dating categories as well. Overall, the blog keeps content pretty relevant and intriguing by merging culture with female empowerment and education.  A few of my most recent favorite post are 5 Things Creatives Need To Get Ish Done! by Ro Reddick, 13 Black Fashion Editors You Should Follow On Instagram by Cortney Simpson and Taraji P. Henson Sends A Powerful Message To Congress About Black Mental Health by Taylor Honore.

The blog is run by Necole Kane, who used to run award-winning celebrity gossip blog, Necole Bitchie.

Something really interesting to note about the lifestyle blog and how they recently jumped from behind the screen and started an event series called Pajamas & Lipstick: A Girls' Night in Experience. The first pajama party style event was held in April and meant to take the mission of the blog and create a physical space where women could come together. It is a goal of mine to one day attend this event. Looking through the pictures of the xoNecole Instagram account made me envious - from the free makeup samples, captivating speakers and cool dance parties, but it also made m happy that an event like this could be possible.

xoNeocole was created to inspire and you should definitely read this blog if you are a woman of color and looking for content that was made for you!!
